Now this is what ou call real togetherness.View attachment 370218Burdock and Bashful keeping company.
I wish mine would do this; I love seeing them snuggled up together. Once in a blue moon they’ll tolerate each other, but it’s usually because they’re all on or around me.

This is bittersweet--we've had these cats for 11 years, and Ozzy and Zoe were never really buddies before. But since we lost the third musketeer, Rico, last year, they've started becoming friends and hanging out together more. :hearthrob:

EDIT: Aww. Just got another one of them together.

I just had to show this progression. Six-year-old Mocha hogs the small cat tree, so I put a cushion on a kitchen chair and put it next to the tree for 16-year-old Iris. She’s feeling pretty rough right now with CKD. Mocha came down for a reassuring cuddle. :redheartpump:

It’s all good. Sleep now. :redheartpump:

Day two of introductions (or reintroductions, I suppose — they used to live together before I took Jummy home at 8 months) is going pretty well. This is the closest they’ve been without either of them hiding :> it didn’t last long before Jum decided to growl at him and he decided to run off, but this is amazing progress so far, imo.

Little update for day 5 of introductions (day 6? Time is a lie. Chippy boy came to me this past Monday, on the 8th). It’s lovely that they both decided to come cuddle, but of course it’s Chippy on my chest (who’s significantly heavier) rather than Jummy. Regardless, this is great progress, and sooner than I’d expected. Jum licked her dad’s ear today, too 🥺❤❤ there hasn’t been any growling yet (it’s 6 in the evening here), and it was minimal yesterday.

They also insist on eating right next to each other, which goes against everything I was told about multicat households. Neither of them was eating super well until I switched the arrangement.

I wouldn’t call them best friends, or, at the very least, not quite yet, but they’re trucking along. Have some spats here and there, some mutual grooming and sleeping next to each other. They mostly do their own thing while I’m home, though, and that’s fine too. Neither seems to be stressed by the other, and I’m working on Jum’s confidence, so overall, things are improving :>
