Yes, tabbytom tabbytom and Norachan Norachan -- beautiful shots especially of the cicada! Yours too, vampiric_conure vampiric_conure ! I have a glow-in-the-dark German velociraptor here in the office. Was a dino freakie growing up, and had a pretty nice (plastic) horse collection, along with a car collection. Weird for a girl, I know.
Praying mantises creep me out. They're bloodthirsty little monsters.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 tara- yeah,about 5ft with nose to tail tip- biggun!

Last year she fell out a tree frozen in a cold front,took her in the house ,warmed her up and got her back out as soon as she came to ( before she got scared). They were falling out of the trees like coconuts,I was quite busy warming up frozen iguana.... lots of " friends"

Kwik Kwik I don't know why you say that. Your picture of this squirrel is excellent, sharp focus, nicely framed.

Here's another, rather different praying / preying mantis I have.

Used to put it outside for the summer but A) large enough to be awkward to carry and B) it is copper and concerned it might be taken.

Because the photos in this thread are amazing- they look professional imo

That piece is wonderful,it's really unigue- love it He makes a praying mantis into a real beautiful work of art(& I am no fan of insects!)
