Wheels down for a landing! The bump on their beak top means they are breeding/have little ones in a nest. The bump disappears when done breeding.

This photo is absolutely nothing special, but the subject of it was. He was a very interesting young man...and those antlers? THEY SCREW INTO HIS SKULL! He let me feel the base of them!

Wow, what were they made of? Would have to be something really lightweight, I imagine, to prevent him hurting his neck or pulling the implants out.

At one point, I could have told you exactly (this was 2006), but I do remember that it was a lightweight polymer of some kind.
