That's interesting. I had a cat years ago who had a long jagged pucker scar (a good 6-8 inches long and inch wide from the scar mess). Poor thing, I swore off clinics for spays after that not that I had a choice in the situation. In the picture Rockets incision is just the neon pick section and was less than an inch. When the stitches came out you could barely tell where it was within a week.
That's the preferred kind of spay scar, which is closed with one or two sutures. I've removed the sutures myself when they are spayed like this, because it's so easy and there's no need to stress a cat with another vet visit just to snip and remove the suture. And of course the dissolving sutures are the best of all!
