I’ve got 5 cats and 2 temporary feral kittens at the moment. I’m the primary human for the oldest one Callie f16. She is the best cat in the world to me but anyone else she is barely tolerant of at best. I’ve had her since she was a kitten and I lived alone so it’s understandable. Of the other 4 I’m the favorite of Emi f2 but she is friendly and snuggles everyone. Odie m1 is an equal opportunity snuggler but I think I can turn him to my side ;) The other 2 however won’t give me the time of day. Puca m1 is Odie’s litter mate who I only rescued from the barn and brought into my home and cared for him since before he was born and Minnie f2 who we got from a shelter won’t even let me pet them. Both shrink away from me like I’m a monster if I approach. They will play with a string toy I’m holding or similar thing but if I put my hand out they will sniff it and give me the most insulting stink face you ever seen. Lol. They have no problems walking past me but god forbid I walk past them. I have never been anything nice and gentle with them. They have no problem jumping on my lap for treats however. I know it’s just the way it goes with multiple cats in a house with multiple people providing care but I’d be lying if it didn’t hurt my feelings sometimes. What really kinda irks me is how loving and friendly they are towards me when I’m in the kitchen preparing their morning soft food breakfast. Rubbing on my legs and acting all sweet. The devious little sh*ts must see a big cartoon sucker for my head. Lol. I’ll keep working on them. I don’t hold a grudge and they are friendly cats.

Hi, Crabbysquatch Crabbysquatch I like your user name. It's nice to meet you. And I feel your pain. We only have one feral now, and he won't let me within four feet of him. He will let DH touch him on the head when breakfast or dinner is being served. He does mysteriously stay on the outside steps to the kitchen door, and though we've never fallen over him, he stays very close at hand.

For every cat we get, I'm the bad guy who does all the vet visits, medicines, baths, etc. Hubby comes out smelling like a rose. He's the favorite.

I feel you there. I’m the one who gets to be the bad guy for vet visits but my wife is the one who gives them the medicine. So I think we come out about even.

We have one that is very attached to me.I feed her but I also do meds, brushing and vet visits. We do nails together ( it takes two). She begs for food from the the table from the table from my husband and doesn't bother with me Otherwise other cats are equal with us both.
