I know some people have luck on Facebook and getting the word out about foster homes being needed..maybe try that avenue too?

Our area got hit with terrible flooding, so the shelters are even more overrun

Crittermon, so sorry to read about the flooding! Gosh, as if you don't have enough to deal with. Btw, the more you handle the kitties, the quicker they will be socialized to humans and the easier it will be to place them.

You can register at the Best Friends No More Homeless Pets Campaign, go to the "go local" section for your state, and post in the forums there: http://network.bestfriends.org/GoLocal/Default.aspx

Otherwise, I'd just mention the situation EVERYWHERE. Turns out someone working at the local deli rescues ferals. You never know who may be able to help.

yes, I cried.But, I know this was what was best for all of us.
They captured our hearts for sure!
