You definitely will! It looks like an Aladdin's Cave in there
It does look like Aladdin's cave :) What plants and surprises will be there when I stop by to browse? 🌱🌵 I have tomorrow off so I might go wander around nature for a bit and then head into the square to browse the flower shop and treat myself to something at the cafe.

Little plant updates:
Croton's new leaves have gotten massive in only 1 week. The one that the spider mites damaged hasn't grown up. Most likely because they damaged the stem so it isn't able to get as many nutrients.

The most mature shoot is pushing out a leaf. The rest are getting their but not quite ready for leaves yet.

I have water and humidity issues with this polka dot plant so I decided that it would be perfect for my aquaponic system. It started reaching toward the light almost immediately.

It's hard to see but my scindapsus pictus argyraeus is finally pushing out new leaves. It's been a couple months and it wasn't doing very well. I decided to cut the stem and root them in water. They took to being grown in water super fast and I guess the leaves are my reward.

Other than these, I'm also experimenting with my tradescantia in aquaponics. My pineapple plant has been pushing out a ton of roots but it seems to be rotting? Time will tell. One of my orchids is pushing out a new leaf. The shoots I cut off of my lucky bamboo have rooted and are now in a pot of their own. Not sure what to do with the stems.

I have a kalanchoe tomentosa I'm trying to propogate. I'm not watering them. Just wanted to lay them on some soil. Will see what happens.

My begonias have also been pushing out new leaves. All in all, everyone is good I guess.

I had cut this tradescantia a while ago and was really confused as to why it didn't start making shoots so I stripped all its leaves off and that seems to have sent the signal to it to make shoots. Two are growing right now and the third one looks like it'll start soon. For anyone who doesn't know, when you peel the leaves off, there are these little buds and that is where the plant branches off from. I didn't find this information in my research.

I entered the Cave of Wonders

So many nice plants 🌵🌱

Lots of donkey tail succulents in hanging planters:

Succulents and cacti:

Inside view. Not visible is the loft and the well worn wooden staircase that reminds me of something out of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. Not sure what's on the loft other than the shelf full of ribbon spools visible at the top of the stairs.

More succulents for just $5, way cheaper than the small flower shop near work.:

Pilea peperomioides

African violets and Crispy Wave ferns and another donkey tail underneath:

The back part of the shop is where they do all the fresh flower arrangements:

Two boxes of herbs on the floor, mint and basil:

I bought another Pilea. The leaves are way bigger than my previous plant. I moved the smaller succulents to the second shelf of the cart to make room for it. I'll keep it in the original pot for now.

Isn't that what used to be called a wandering Jew. I hadn't heard that term in a long time, it probably isn't a good term anymore because of negative stereotypes. I knew someone who had one in the 70's and it just kept growing and growing.

Yeah, I read a lot of controversial things on the name and people in a Facebook plant group I was in got mad when people called it that. So I don't call it that at all and just call it by its botantial name as I do with all my plants.

Maybe she's busy?

I didn't expect these to start making roots so quickly. I was told I'd have to wait 6 - 8 weeks but I checked them today and they have little roots poking out. It's difficult to capture all of them with the camera but you can see it on the one leave pretty well. These were picked off on September 12th.

The few I looked at are table stop sized, no more than a foot tall. There are ones with fake succulents for those without green thumbs. I'm not sure how one is supposed to water the succulents if the "tree" also has lights that are tucked in between and around the plants. One seller said to mist the tree but I don't think a light misting would help a thirsty plant.

What kind of succulents are these? They look like they could be related to aloes.

I think this is a kalanchoe? It's a cute little plant.

I love the bright yellow green of lemon cypress. There's conflicting info online on whether it's toxic to cats or not.
