My spayed, middle aged girl cat mounts her sister.  And in a reverse position aggressively kneads her.  The sister doesn't like it.  And I feel that it isn't natural or appropriate, so I stop it.  Why is my cat doing this?  Is it sexual?  Is it natural or is it perverted?  Should I not intervene?

Someone will chime in more knowledgeable than I am but just as an observation, I think pretty much everything animals do in nature is natural.  (The word "natural" is derived from the word "nature.")  I don't think there's anything perverted to your cat's behavior.  It may just be instinctual or someone else may have another hypothesis.  If your nonaggressive cat doesn't like it, I'm sure she'll put a quick end to it.

Thanks.  I had a feeling it was my human nature that was viewing it as wrong.  I guess I should just let them be cats!
