I was curious what other people have experienced when cleaning up cat urine say no more than a couple of days old, but usually fresh to a few hours.

How lond should one keep the cats away from the area. It seems that they know what was there no matter how well it wascleaned. I soak the area and put milk crates over it so it can still dry. I have had good luck if I leave the crates there for at least a month.

The other funny thing is that only onecat has problems. The other onecould not care less if urine is in the carpet. He goes over and leaves sometimes not even bending over to smell.

They can still smell the urine after you've blotted it with a papertowel and then soaked it with an enzyme cleaner? I'd think at that point, they'd just be smelling the enzyme cleaner, no?
