We have put her food in the crate, and treats she eats them half way in there. I also found an idea about a laser pointer, anything else? Sorry, vet appointment tomorrow(first), she has a spot on her back she keeps licking. She is a neighborhood cat for 5 years(everyone has had a turn), she has been spayed(ear clipped). I have been putting flea meds on her, but that's all. She is locked in our garage at night with a heater when it is cold. I brush her nightly.

I had good luck with plain cooked chicken all the way at the back of the crate. Once she was halfway in, I pushed her rear end, gently but firmly, the rest of the way. I had a towel over my hand to protect it but she was never able to turn quickly enough to lash out. I found the faster I was the better. She's a lucky girl to have you looking out for her. :)

I've heard that KFC is a sure-fire bait, but how to overcome her not going in completely? Try K Kristin Bryant 's idea of gently nudging her butt when she's halfway in. Gently.
