I am so sorry for your loss of your lovely Sarah. You did everything you possibly could for her. It always always a difference between our heads and our hearts I think with these losses. Somewhere our head knows we did everything we could, but our heart keeps doing should have, could have and would have on repeat because we hurt from these terrible losses. I have a 'talker' too so I can imagine how the house would be so different without her chatter. Thank you for sharing her wonderful story.I hope you find peace in your memories of Sarah

Such a cute picture, but a sad back story as this was taken less than a year ago a day or two after Sarah's brother passed away from cancer. Goofy, her brother, loved sleeping in this basket. Several times, she hopped in the basket, gave it a thorough exploration, and would look around looking concerned. Eventually, she stopped showing interest in the basket and I stored it in the closet.
My little girl. I hope you and your brothers are together again, and playing and chasing bugs in the Heavenly Catio Without Walls.

One of my all time favorite photos. Sarah the expert puppy-raiser keeping baby Balki under control so I could catch a break.

Kinda blurry, but she was absolutely certain that leash, and therefore the puppy, needed to be kept under control!

It's been one month, and I still can't quite wrap my mind around the fact that my friend for over 16 years has left me. I've had some sweet dreams about her, and some nightmares that were very upsetting. It doesn't help that Wedneday the 8th (two days from today) will mark one year since Goofy, her litter mate brother, passed. Christmas was strange, because last Christmas I had 3 cats, and this year I just had one.

Two collages were made that I had saved. Mostly, they were of Sarah but in the first one, Goofy is on the bottom right. One of my big regrets with them both is I didn't build that big catio sooner. They absolutely loved it. Goofy only got one year with it, and Sarah two years.
This spring, I would like to make some sort of memorial garden for them out there. I know I will miss seeing those two beautiful silhouettes walking around in the grass on a sunny day.

Sorry for the loss of you beloved Sarah. It's so painful losing a fur buddy, especially during the Christmas season, as I recently lost my female tabby, Chloe on the 21st. You did the best you could, and Sarah couldn't have had a more caring and loving master. My thoughts and prayers for your loss.

I’m so sorry, honey. It’s not your fault, okay? You did your best, she knows that. She knows you loved her. That’s all that mattered to her. Even at the end, I promise she knew that you loved her. Animals don’t see past or future, they see now. So all she saw was love.

You are so sweet. Thank you. All she had left to look forward to was suffering, and I wouldn't want that for myself, either. :hugs:
