Sad About My Foster Dog

I recently fostered a dog for a few month. Each month I took him to an adoption day at the park so families could look at him. He was sweet but one of my cats despised him. He was going to be a big dog - staffy x- and I didn’t think he would fit in with our cat family but I liked caring for him.

I went to the shops while he was at adoption day and when I came back he was gone. I didn’t get to say goodbye or see his new family.

I’ve found that I can’t stop missing him or worrying about him. Will this go away? Every day I wake up and think of him.

Aww that's rather sad but I'm sure he's got equally loving owners now. The feelings of worry etc. will diminish in time to an acceptable level although you'll never forget him.
