Ruby – 3,830 days was not enough

I'm so appreciative of all the lovely messages everyone has posted. Thank you so much.

This is my 4th morning without my girl, and it's hard getting into a new routine, as she was a huge part of everything I did. One thing I need to do is mop over the floors. However, after spotting this yesterday, I think I'm going to have to wait a bit before doing that.

Yes, I would wait before mopping the floor.
You couldn't even imagine what I waited to do after the death of my beloved Lola and Pallina.

Antonio65 thank you for your lovely post. I so appreciate that so many members have taken the time to write about my Ruby. I can't believe it will be 7 weeks tomorrow. And, yes, you're right, the house is so empty without her. I did eventually clean the floor, but it took a while before I was ready.

I hate marking these anniversaries, but tonight will be 4 months since Ruby crossed the bridge.
Time has lessened the pain, but I'll never stop wishing we'd had more time.

Here's a few pics of my sweet girl.

This was shortly after I adopted her, and I thought I was so smart buying her a cat tree. She was a good sport about it, and laid on it, despite it probably not being very comfortable.

It also was pretty cheaply made, so looked like this after a few months.

So off to the garbage it went, and I bought a better, more comfy one.

Oh how sweet and you were so cute ,all excited to by her a tree- from the looks of it Ruby really enjoyed it while it lasted and looked very happy on the little perch ---- she was enjoyed her little Prius and until she got her Cadillac it seemed perfectly fine, lol

Six months tonight that my sweet girl's been gone. This month is a bit harder, in that it was her gotcha month. So I'm going to post a memory pic of her today. And then maybe a couple on the 13th, which would have been her 11th gotcha day.

Below pic is from April 2018, and is one I took that month to submit to the POM which I think had a theme on grooming, or something like that.

What a beautiful girl.....it seems to always hurt when we think of them. But as time, years, pass it does change into something we can manage. The extreme loss and emptiness is duller as the happiness we experienced and the love we will always share with them, fills in more and more. The happy times are so much more than the sad. A much bigger part of our life if we let them in. Grief and sadness has a way of completely filling our lives for a long time........
