I wouldn't worry too much about using a small amount of treats. There are calories in everything and the key is moderation. Your cats are young and so their metabolisms should be working efficiently. As you obviously have some very savvy kitties when it comes to food, if a small amount of crushed treats can help to keep them eating the wet food, then this is a reasonable solution for the short term.
They are too smart for me. I put down food tonight they sniffed and walked away so I added sons treat they sniffed and walked away!. I opened the other flavour I had of fancy feast and they ate some. I noticed the less picky one ate more later.
I am stuck with the fancy feast though unless I can find something else under a dollar( Canadian) as my hubby won't agree to paying more. I wanted to go try vet stuff as the less picky one love the vet kitten food and was never picky with that bug hubby won't let me as its over teo dollars a can. Surprised he let me as long as he did.
So they will have to get dry food as well and I will just do my best with the wet. Feel sad about it. May be they will like the treat idea again as I have a plate of it that they wouldn't eat earlier that has treat crumbled on top.

A little bit of dry is fine, as long as they are getting some wet as well. If you think they will eat some, you could bring back the chicken with gravy that they liked previously and rotate between this and the Fancy Feast? As I mentioned previously, its okay to serve chicken with a bit of gravy but you don't want to serve this exclusively but rotate with other flavors and types of wet canned. As long as all feedings are in proportion to the weight of your cats, there should be no concern for weight gain.

Keep in mind that you just started out on this journey about 2 months ago, and this is a work in progress. Don't feel that you need to get this transition done overnight, as it doesn't work this way for every cat. While my cats are eating the majority of wet food, I have been working on our transition since last October. Getting cats on a schedule and change in diet takes time, but the first priority will always be that a cat must eat.

Thanks for being positive

I think another thing I find hard is I don't know what they want each meal! I put down the chicken fancy feast pate this morning and they both sniffed it and walked away. I added treat to one they sniffed and waled away. I opened the other pate flavour of fancy feast I had and the less picky one ate some of it. The other one didn't  want any so I had to put down dry food. There is still wet out but the less picky went to the dry just now and didn't touch the wet again. This is frustrating cause opening three different cans just seems silly and won't this be a waste or will they last a long time? I wish I knew what they were thinking or want! LOL!

RRRRRR!!!!!

I feel your pain. Cats can be so finicky! You can probably feed small portions from the can and refrigerate the rest. Next feeding, you can either add some warm water or microwave to warm it up (cats don't seem to like cold food). Since they are being super picky, maybe you can just do one table spoon per cat per feeding, that way you don't waste too much food. Have you tried the Parmesan cheese? Maybe you should look into the bonito flakes. I think it'll be helpful if you found a topping the cats just LOVE.

Like oneandahalfcats said, it will probably be a bit of a long journey, and there will be ups and downs. Hang in there! I think the important thing is to be patient and not give up. It's so great that you are looking out for their health and well-being. They will appreciate it at the end!

They seem to be very much random when they like a certain canned food. One day they would like a canned food flavour and the next time don't like it. So this morning one like one and another wouldn't touch it but tonight another wouldn't touch one and the other did. So they each got some canned food today but not both meals of canned and still offering dry food as they can't go without eating!  So i have been rotating between fancy feast chicken, fancy feat turkey giblets or something or other can't recall the exact name ( they are the pate kind) Then I have a can of PC chicken dinner which I don't give too often as it has a bit of gravy. I decided not to stress about it anymore so I just make each meal I rotate so it's different and hope one at least will eat it. If both do then jackpot for that meal. But to say they like one over the other is hard as one time they like the next time not, then they like it again, crazy cats!
