I can't believe how long it's been since I posted here. On April 23 of this year, Pandora passed from bone cancer. I miss her so. My beloved Raya passed Nov 1st of this year of lung cancer. I am totally heartbroken over Raya's passing. I can't stop crying.

Thank you. No. Pan was 17 and Raya was 14. They did not care for each other and would periodically fight.

The sad truth is that we do not "get over" these losses, but we do "get through" them. And while the grief never leaves, it becomes...scarred over. It is no longer a raw, tearing thing, but an ache, a reminder. I will tell you the Deepest Truth I know. Love never dies. It is translated and purified into Love and continues on. Now, from their new homes in That Place Where All Things Are Know, both Pandora and Raya bless you for a lifetime of love and care, and they send their Love back to you to walk beside you down through all of your days. There is always one special little soul that digs a little deeper into our heart and soul. They are called your soulmate. Raya obviously was yours. It deosn't mean we love the others any less, it is like a mother's love for several children, strong and undying, but just a little stronger connection with one special child.
Sure it hurts, it always will. But life goes on and time passes and it fades a little We find ways to get through the hurt and loneliness,adjusting our life to include the loss and forge ahead because it is all we can do. Noone is perfect, we all make mistakes and stumble through life, noone is guaranteed a tomorrow. We must live each and every day as if it is our last one. We can't change our past, we can't see the future. The present is the only thing we have any control over. So we can live in sorrow and pain, or know our little ones want us to go forward and live like we would want for them to go on if WE were the frist to go. That is love and they want no less.....
Your precious babies will always be connected to your soul by the ties of love which are spiritual so eternal. Let them continue loving you and send them thoughts and prayers of love. They will do the same. My own thoughts and prayers are with you all, I know your pain........RIP precious Pandora and Raya. You will never be forgotten, you will have secure places in a loving heart for eternity. May the good Lord bless and keep you until you meet again!

Thank you. I am still grieving, though not as bad. We rescued an 8 year old male dlh orange tabby almost a week ago. We named him Pumpkin. He is a sweetie. Here is a picture of him and one of the ladies at the rescue. His name was Gulley.
