My Beloved Gracie . My little furry tail Princess tragically collapsed aged 18 months . The 1st time I saw her was on a sunny day in September 2023 she was sat under my pampas grass. I took her in as a stray she turned up one cold early October evening she was wet & hungry she was only a baby girl . She was scared of her own shadow & as soon as she wanted to leave as it got dark I new I had to do something so I made a makeshift litter box & cut up some paper Gracie used it straight away .
And that was it she stayed & never wanted to venture out of my garden . I never let her out at night and went & got her food bowls cat bed toys litter tray ect . We had a fantastic Xmas together Gracie loved her large rainbow tunnel her Yeow catnip banana & her interactive telescopic feather wand She would put her paw on feather wand when she wanted to play & would knock her dreamie treats over with her paw .
Gracie was a different cat within weeks she wasn’t looking over her shoulder anymore She chewed her biscuits & meat instead of gobbling it down. Gracie was so affectionate She wasn’t a lap cat but she would snuggle beside me paddy waking & purring & sleep next to me every night She loved being rubbed around her face & ears & chin rubs & pussy kisses We had this little thing if Gracie was falling asleep beside me & I had my hand on her if I tried to take it away she would grab my hand with both her furry paws & gently bite then lick my hand & if I tried to take my hand away again she would stretch out her front legs with her paws wrapped around my hand or fingers as if to say don’t let go even if you think I’m napping so id hold her paws & I’d rub her paw
pads and the little tufts of fur coming out of them . Gracie only loved birds & feather interactive toys .
In early January 2024 i made her mine found she wasn’t chipped or missing & she was healthy . On cold rainy day’s we would snuggle up together & watch bird tv . If she was sleeping on my bed & woke up alone she would meow until she found me . In early June she was charging up & down my garden making me laugh .
Then on Thursday 28/06/2024 i let her out in garden in morning as usual she strolled outside an suddenly collapsed at 8.20am I tried to revive her & rushed her straight to vets who had just opened at 8.30am I was still in my pjs as all I did was wrap her in her blanket an rush to get there The vets tried to save her but said sadly she’d passed They said she had an undetected heart condition .
I’m still awaiting her ashes in a lovely wooden box . Gracie was so special I want her to be remembered & pay honour to her here . Pet loss rips your heart
soul & life apart so my heart goes out to everyone else who has also lost a beloved companion .
Dearest Gracie Thank you for coming into my life an giving me your unconditional love . You bought so much love Joy happiness & laughter into my life RIP baby girl Mummy loves you so much you will always be in my heart spirit & mind until we meet again 🥹

she had to go so soon . I miss her terribly . I will stay true to promise I made Gracie that I’d save another unwanted kitty to love just as much as I loved 
& how lovely she was .That’s true I love her so much that bond will never be broken . I swear after she passed I heard her meow twice in a row when I got home from vets . Then two days after she died she came to me in a dream . I dreamt I was in bed with covers over me an just waking up when released I thought I could feel her warm body against my foot at end of bed where she liked to sleep i gently pushed my foot against her body & felt & heard her jump off my bed I threw covers off me an said Gracie she jumped up on bed to greet me I held her in my arms for a minute or so i felt her fur an whiskers against my face she wanted down & jumped off my bed and I followed her though my home down the stairs she jumped up on sofa . I then woke up in tears realising It was a dream . I haven’t heard or dreamt of her since but she will definitely always be in my heart soul & mind we had a special connection . I picked her ashes up yesterday from vets they thought she was healthy as well Aww bless her she was so full of beans & loved charging around my garden & home . If I’d of known she had a heart problem I’d of spent every last penny I had to save her life . As I held her in my arms for last time I promised her I would never let her go like when she would hold my hand with her paws as she was sleeping I also promised her I would save another unwanted kitty to give it a happy life full of unconditional love time & attention . I am paying honour to Gracie today with flower 
petels & candles lit with her ashes & have 3 songs to play for my Gracie… 1st tune is Song to the siren by This Mortal coil…2nd song is called Gracie Girl
