If your vet doesn't do PCR testing, what method was used in the first place to diagnose the ringworm? Woods lamp, microscopic exam of hair/skin, fungal culture via DTM (skin scrapings via a toothbrush)? None of these are considered the same as the PCR test, so it would seem your vet could use at least one of these techniques, and probably did when the ringworm was first diagnosed.Multi pet household and new kittens brought in have ringworm any help would be appreciated I have seven cats that are in treatment for ringworm and my vet does not do pcr tests!
