It looks suspicious to me, although it's virtually impossible to tell from a photo.
I'd be off to the vet to check it.

I was able to get some decent pictures of this area on my cats head, I have a vet appointment on Tuesday made already because she is new to our household. Any idea of what this could be? We have two other cats that have severe flea allergies and other skin problems but they haven't been in contact. In the meantime wondering if anyone has an idea of what it is. Its very scaly and crusty. I rubbed the spot on her head and the fur just fell off completely.

I'd put my money on ringworm. I hope you washed your hands and anything else very well before you touched your other cats.
Definitely follow up with the vet, but that really does appear to be ringworm to me (FYI I am not a vet).

We ended up taking her early, on Friday. They gave her antibiotics and some stuff to clean it with. It's not getting any better and it's bothering her she keeps scratching at it. The vet said it MAY be ringworm but wasn't 100% sure we started the treatment anyways and decided to not culture it. The stuff isn't helping her so im assuming it's something else. This is is what it looks like now.

I mentioned this in a different post but it worked wonders for my cat. You might want to try Vetericyn Plus Feline Antimicrobial Hydrogel. I used it on my cat for a wound he had in his chin and it worked great. I just sprayed a little on a cotton ball and applied it to the affected area and it healed in two days. You can find it on Amazon and in some pet stores.

I'm not sure why your vet couldn't identify if it was ringworm. You may want to consider getting a second opinion especially since the treatment they gave you isn't helping her, poor baby. :sickcat: Or contact a veterinary dermatology specialist, here is a link by state:

They gave me antibiotics and conofite lotion, its scabbing over and seems to be getting better now. Unfortunately I live in a more rural area and don't have many vet options. I'm just worried because we have so many other animals and people in our household and don't want it to spread if it is even ringworm (assuming it is since the stuff has started working). The only thing they used to "diagnose" it was a black light, they said sometimes skin irrations and scabs show up the same color as ringworm under the blacklight.

We have had her on antifungal meds for about 2 weeks now, and have been applying conofite lotion to the area. Its scabbing over but im not sure if its 100% ringworm as I believe it would be better by now.

2 weeks is nothing when it comes to getting rid of ringworm. Sometimes it can last a month or more, or kitty can keep being reinfected by common areas of the house not being completely cleaned. Keep up the treatment and check in with your vet again to see how everything is going in their opinion.

Scabbing over is good, that means it is healing and even if it's not it is on its way out. I would just continue treatment for as long as the vet tells you to be safe, cat's skin takes a lot longer than we like to heal.
