A vet would show you how. Something needs to give here. She needs food whether she fights it or not. Perhaps she would take the bottle better?

Are you home tonight to feed her frequently?

I'm wondering if she's even strong enough to get milk from mom, or is she just pacifying herself?

She is getting something from mom because she hasn't been loosing and she hasn't taken anything from me until tonight. I try syringe and bottle every time, she finally took the syringe tonight. I am off tonight so I will be getting up to feed every couple of hours! Hopefully she continues to take it!

I am worried about her as well. She is very skinny. The others are chunky babies now! I am relieved everyone else is finally gaining. So worried about her though. Mom has started cleaning them somewhat now. They all look a lot better.

Got a couple more mls into her and latched her onto mom! Hope she gains tonight and starts fighting the others back for the nipples! I know it will be hard. The others are 100 grams more than her!

Good! I hope you can get more into her through the night.

Please weigh her in the morning so we know right away.

I've been following this thread and silently worrying about your tiny kitten. So happy to see she's finally gained.

I supplemented some. It seemed like she would only take 3 mls from me each time, but when I put her back with mom she would nurse. Fingers crossed she continues to gain and gets back her energy to fight her siblings for the nipples!

3 mLs is 3mLs she would not have had otherwise! Clearly it is helping. Please keep giving her as much as she will take as often as she will take it. 3mLs for a tiny like her is excellent!

:vibes: That this trend continues! I'm rooting for this baby!

Yes, she needs to gain 3 ounces (85 grams) as soon as possible to get to the 8-ounce/two week old milestone. :)

Tomorrow we are probably getting this fluffy mom and her kitten.

Someone dumped her and her kittens off at someone's house. They found homes for her other kittens except for this one- looks like he/she might have a URI. I will put schedule the momma for her spay when I take Olivia and Sadie! Fluffy mom should be easy to find a home for- she is beautiful!

No her and the remaining kitten are outside where they were dropped off . The lady has her own cats and said she doesn't have room to bring her outside. I will call Monday and hopefully they can fit her on the schedule to spay her the same day Olivia and Sadie are- May 17th, even if she is pregnant again she should be early enough then that we can still spay.

Gosh, I hate that they are outside! Is there no way to get them today?

And yes, hopefully she's not pregnant, but if she is, then not too far along. She could go into heat anytime and run off though.

The kitten does not look 8 weeks old even. :(
