Remembering Krista

A particular kitty at the shelter has caught my eye. I’ve got first date butterflies like you wouldn’t believe.
There are some damp spots on the carpet and I have workmen coming into the apartment tomorrow at some unknown time. But I don’t know that I can keep these jitters going for one or two more days.

Oh poop! They are closed today. Well that settles that. I will get one more day for the carpet to dry, to pick up some Feliway, and make any other final preparations. I think I’ll head down first thing tomorrow morning before work.

Oh the nerves! I sure hope she’s a good match. I don’t want to go through this again.

Her shelter name was Pink (presumably because of her pink nose.). But I’m leaning heavily towards renaming her Betty White.

So glad I took this video of one of our meal preps. I’m defrosting a raw rabbit portion. I cover it with a small cup and scoop a small ball of canned food into the corner. I will take this setup and Krista into the office where I dip the pill in the food, we wrestled until I got her to swallow it, and then I lifted the cup and let her have her raw reward portion. That raw reward was worth the wrestling to her.

Haute cuisine for the lady! She will not be denied. Baby Su is like that, too, but not with HER food. IDK why she is so obsessed with mine, since it's vegetables, fruits, and grains, and only very rarely, tuna..

One of Krista’s favorite places to sleep is becoming one of Betty’s favorites too. Betty isn’t yet bold enough to hang out on the desk yet. She did a cruise by last week. But “just passing through…”
