You LOVE the dentist?! The dentist is one of my biggest fears. I have bad genetics for tooth enamel so I'm constantly needing fillings/crowns no matter how frequently I brush and floss (which is currently 3 and 5 times a day). I've also had a lot of bad dental work done that's had to be repaired, and additionally I can't stay numb! I not only metabolize the numbing agent really quickly so it wears off, but I also need twice as much as most people just to get numb in the first place. There's been times where they couldn't give me any more and I just had to take it. Needless to say, I'm so frightened I have to have a family member come in with me every 6 months because I freak out so much. I envy you!!

You have a very unenviable situation. My sympathy goes out to you! I know someone who has some of those problems, though not to the degree that you do.

October 31, 2018:
The only time I ever dressed her up for Halloween. We took a handful of pictures and then I recycled it and fed her. That was what she was up there for anyway.

2019:
She’s feeling better this morning. Maybe a little homesick?

I just settled into mid morning nap and you’re telling me it’s time to go?

Someone needed a little bookcase time when we got home. Must have been an uneventful ride home. No pictures from our break


And she’s emerged. I guess Lil Miss Toothless has forgiven me for the drive.

Oh no worries! I have so many other things to be grateful for! Like these beautiful pictures of Krista! I shouldn't complain about my own dental work considering the fight her (and even my own cats) have gone through.

I also have teeth that seem to need frequent work—and a high tolerance to the anesthetic. Never been cut off though. I don’t look forward to the dentist either. I have an appointment next week to see what I’m in for next year. We’ll finally do some X-rays. But I’ll be out of insurance to act on them until next year.

Cats. No matter what, they always look amazing. Even a toothless Krista is a gorgeous Krista!
Yeah, I had work (wisdom teeth all yanked at once, gum surgery, a crown) and now I keep up with the twice-yearly cleanings. I have to get shot to do it but luckily the hygienist is very good at that!
B Beholder Well, what you've got going on isn't a walk in the park, either. You're allowed to talk about it here at TCS! and hopefully some supportive and empathetic feedback can help, however little.

No. I routinely left her carrier out in the open as part of her environment. I also used to seed it with fish flakes to encourage her to go inside of it regularly.
