Voices carry and poop hitch-hikes. 😿 🤦‍♂️ Usually her attitude didn't improve until I got her in the car. Sometimes not until she had a meal and a groom locked in the bathroom with a camera. I often left her for a couple hours after a vet visit (not locked in the bathroom) to go to the tap room. We both benefitted from having time and space apart on a regular basis. And that's one of the remaining anxieties I have about getting a new cat before I'm vaccinated. Nowhere to go if I need that space apart that doesn't come with an existential risk right now. 🤦‍♂️
Pretty understandable. I empathize with her. And with you, too.

Feeding her under her favorite tree. I used to move her food plate around and let her eat in new and interesting places. I also found that if I picked up her food and set it down somewhere else, she would give the plate a second chance, “oooh! Look! New food!” 😹

Speaking of food in interesting places, the fish flake hunt continues!

Well, ya just never can tell where a fish flake might turn up, can ya? :hearthrob: :kneading: :hearthrob: Gotta keep a sharp eye out. *And a sharp nose, too.*
Stirring the food has that result here, when I'm lucky. They like it in the middle of the bowl, well away from the sides. So I stir it up a lot. And I feed Baby Su her before-bedtime treats on the bed. So there might be some there afterwards. Sometimes Elvis gets lucky.

She’s been on chemo long enough for her poops to start firming up. But oof! She still looks off in these pics.

Talk about trust! Or maybe that’s a mistake she has never made to learn from.

(That’s her tail resting in the rocking chair path. 🙀)

Yeah, that's the reason my grandmother's rocking chair is hanging upside down in the rafters of my garage. I really love it but I'm not going to risk it. (Besides, there's really no more space for furniture in this house.)

It’s really not as risky as it looks. The chair doesn’t rock so much as balance to the rear. The only danger would be if I got up and rolled the chair forward. I inadvertently stepped on her feet or tail at least a few times in her life. She understandably let out a pained squawk and bounced back five seconds later like it never happened. Cats are tough!

Yeah, they are. It would stress me out really badly, though. The main reason I don't drive, beside having a depth perception problem, is that if I ever hit a cat, I'd never get over it.
I have a rocking chair, but it's on a stationary base, so I get the fun of rocking without the risks of hurting anyone.

Calo angel enjoyed it. So has everyone else, just about.

Is that an actual kitten floof on the table or a sculpture? Either way, it's adorable! 😻 Calo too! Reminds of me of my Cabbie!

Awww, Cabbie! :redheartpump:
That's a cat sculpture (IDK what else to call it) that looks pretty realistic!
TY. Calo was truly magnificent. I called him "the Bullcat" because he was deep-chested and bowlegged in front, like a bulldog. He was very brave, too. He first turned up with pals Rojita and Tim in our front yard, two locations ago. I don't think they were related, but he was very protective of them. Calo and Rojita joined us. Tim had a skin condition we and our vet couldn't cure, and I was able to get him accepted into Best Friends, so we drove him over there to Utah. He got adopted by a wonderful woman in Vancouver and had a really loved life with her.

If I poked her right then, she would wake up with a trill. So adorable! It's amazing she ever got any sleep around me. 😻

I can well imagine, as that kind of stuff goes on around here with alarming regularity, as well. Sometimes it's met by little scratchy "mfffffff"s. Sometimes, by scimitars. But no matter. It's well worth it, no matter the price. :insertevillaugh:
