Rehoming and Rescue didn’t work out and became disaster, not sure where to turn.

I am so very grateful that you saved them from the perils of outdoors. It was a good thing for them that you have been able to give them sanctuary. I sure hope that the local vet will allow advertising in their office. The veterinary staff may know of resources for alternative traps for getting mama kitty spayed - some folks have better results with using box trap w/ transfer cage. Some rescues and animal control agencies have "trap depots" that offer loaner traps; for obvious reasons, most require a deposit, usually refundable. Another suggestion is to reach out to dog rescue groups which often have more connections & resources than cat rescues.
