Both our cats eat super fast no matter how much food we give them (they both got vet check-ups their blood work & physical exam was fine, they are just jerks sometimes). There are a TON of slow feed cat bowls, does anyone have a recommendation, the options are a bit much and I don't want them too get too smart to it too quickly.

Just stick something inside the bowl that they have to eat around to get them to slow down. No need to spend extra money on a "fancy" bowl.

I agree. You can use a couple of clean golf balls, or even thoroughly clean a couple of rocks. You just need to wash up whatever you use along with their dishes to keep the germs away. You would need to do with with a slow feeder dish as well. The only other thing I can suggest if to go on Amazon and search sort by highest reviews. You are rights, there are tons of them out there. Some are actually feeder puzzles, which are good for their minds as well though, so that's always good.
