Raw Nose

Its been maybe a month now and my indoor and outdoor cat simba has been coming back inside with a raw and hairless nose. Its gotten worse as the days progress. Ive tried putting vaseline on it but he tucks his head in and licks it off. He usually sits on the front porch and sunbathes, sleeps and then i believe he goes off exploring or marking his territory or something. Im not sure if this is just a swipe on the nose from some animal thats getting worse, or something more fatal. He doesnt seem to be in pain i just wish for it get better. Thanks! Hope u can help.

I'd take the cat to the vet for a diagnosis and treatment. Vaseline won't help if the rawness is caused by a skin condition or an allergy to something.

I don’t think it’s anything fatal but he does need a vet if it’s been going on for a while. Obviously vaseline isn’t cutting it. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Have no idea what it is or how to treat it, just wanted to say I found Bodhi nose balm works great at healing dry cracked noses.
