Hi All,

I'm ready to make the leap and start feeding my two kitties raw food, commercial for now.
I really like the ingredients in Rad Cat and from what I've seen on this forum you all seem to love it.
However, reading their nutrition profile, it says that the foods have anywhere from 5.5 - 6.2 (not sure what the measure is) phosphorous per 100/kcal. Dr. Pierson says that on a dry matter basis phosphorous should be around 1%.
Am I misinterpreting the values because they are extremely high? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rad Cat phosphorus is actually low enough to be suitable for even CKD cats.

Thank you. As soon as I finish feeding my last case of canned I'm going raw!

Transition!! Keep a few of your canned goods and start to slowly mix in the raw and the old stuff. A lot of cats can be turned off if you immediately plop down something completely foreign to them! Also it doesn't hurt to keep a few can on hand if you misjudge your days and wind up needing to give them some food because your raw hasn't defrosted...not that that's happened to me before...
