I got a bag of regional red a couple days ago at petco. I opened it last night and was planning on starting to acclimate my cat to this food, but it looks a little weird...

There's a few hairs here and there. Not much, but enough to notice. Also, is this coating normal? Is this food safe to feed or should I toss it? I don't have the receipt, so I can't take it back. 20190616_062801.jpg 20190616_063014.jpg

Hi! Can you send those photos to the manufacturer and ask them?

Already did. I think they're closed on the weekends.

In the meantime, I thought I'd post here to see if anyone knew about this :hellocomputer:

Btw u can return to petco without receipt. At least with food you can. Worse case scenario you switch for another food and pay the difference.
Also I’ve fed regional red before. Looked similar with the coating. And the ingredients are so whole and fresh they often do include fur bones and feathers sometimes.
