My male cat has UTI and his medications are in pills. I try finding pill pockets in my area and I found out they only have Greenies Pill Pockets for Dogs Beef Flavor. Is it ok to feed my Cat Greenies Pill pockets for Dogs?

Because pill pockets are not used very long or in large quantities, they don't need to be species-specific. Companies often use the word "dogs" even if the recipe is no different. However, it is important to know the size of the pill pocket is appropriate for the size of the pill that goes in it.

In my opinion your best bet would be to contact the company at 1 - 866 - GREENIES. I'm sure they've gotten this question before.

I used the dog pill pockets for my cat that would eat pills in pill pockets. The vet said they're the same. I didn't contact the company. Just tear off what you need of that large one and encase the pill. It saves money using the dog ones vs. cat ones. :nod: He ate four pills a day for over a year using pieces of the dog pill pockets with no adverse affect.
I've used the dog ones several times with much success.
