Do you use the low or high setting when making bone broth in a crock pot, and how many hours should the process to take?

We had a bit of an emergency today, and had to make do with a quickie version we made from beef neck bones in a Dutch oven. But we'd like to make a real, honest-to-goodness batch of bone broth in the crock pot to keep on hand in the freezer in case we need it at a moment's notice for any of our kitties. And despite all of my good intentions, I barely have any experience with using a crock pot. :)

I found this recipe and will be using it myself. Most other recipes for bone broth contain veggies that our feline friends do not need.

Purr-fect! Thanks. :)

Our quickie version helped in a pinch, but from now on, I want to make sure there's an ample supply of bone broth ice cubes available whenever we need them. Maybe I'll even get inspired to learn how to use a crock pot to cook for the non-furry members of the family.
