Good morning and another Happy Whiskers Wednesday! Growing up there were a lot of different singers and music groups I liked but in my teen years I remember listening to the Beach Boys and I was especially fond of Aretha Franklin.

QUESTION OF THE DAY - WHO WAS YOUR MUSIC IDOL WHEN YOU WERE A TEENAGER?

Savage Garden!!! I was obsessed.

I also liked the Backstreet Boys a lot, and the Spice Girls. It was a good era for pop.

I don't know as I ever had a real idol. I guess that Elvis was the nearest thing to one.

I listened primarily to CCM so we were definitely encouraged not to idolize anyone.

My favorites though were Anointed, Avalon and Point of Grace. All groups with excellent harmony. Oh and Jaci Velasquez. I think I had all of their albums and eventually saw all of them in concert, got autographs, etc.

As a teen I was a huge Iron Maiden fan. I also liked Whitesnake and Motorhead.
