Vegemite. As an American friend once said, people there don't understand that it's a seasoning, not a spread. Just a tiny bit scattered across toast and butter - delicious. Slathered on, revolting!

The first thing that comes to mind for me is Pecan pie. I really like it but it so rich that anything more than a small slice would be too much.

I apologize for being ignorant, but I'm wondering What would you call a vegemite sandwich as in the song Land Down Under by Men at Work
Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six-foot-four and full of muscle
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich

I love that song! 😆
I prefer Veg on toast, but if I was making a sandwich same would apply - don't slather it on, just put a thin scatter to give flavour without it being so salty it blows your head off. I suspect people make the mistake of putting it on l peanut butter - bleurgh!

I would imagine everything would be gross in large amounts, right??? I have never eaten anything in excess to find out when it's too much.
