Helllooooooo everyone! I hope you are all doing well on this fine Tuesday ☃

What's a song you liked as a kid but realized it has an 18+ meaning?

The Macarena by Los Del Rio (Bayside Boys). Obviously a Pretty well-known 90's beat - I really loved it as a kid. Then discovered the meaning behind the lyrics later in life lol

Another 90's song is Get Down by b4-4. Oh my goodness, dancing around to this song as a kiddo...so innocent, so naive

Well, apparently “Baby it’s Cold Outside,” has been getting a lot of feedback lately, which I had never noticed.

I've been trying to think of something, but have come up empty. Of course, when I was a kid, the Beatles weren't a thing yet. Fats Domino had found his thrill on Blueberry Hill, and all; and Peter, Paul and Mary were singing about Puff, the Magic Dragon, but that's about as racy as it got.

iPappy iPappy yeah its a good song
I was in track in junior high, and all the "cool high schoolers" played that song all the time on the bus to a meet or at practice, so us junior high kids played it and sang it too. The lyrics are a little more deep than I remember at that age.

Two of a Kind, Working on a Full House by Garth Brooks
Red Rag Top by Tim McGraw
Bring on the Rain by Jo Dee Messina (this one has become a song I listen to when I'm feeling down because it helps me remember how far I've come from when I was severely depressed)
Slide by Goo Goo Dolls
Hotel California by The Eagles

Oh, and The Thunder Rolls by Garth. Never really knew what was going on in that song aside from some cool storm sound effects until I hit adulthood.

In general, a lot of songs from the 70's that were popular on the radio.

When I was a kid there was a country song called You've Never Been This Far Before by Conway Twitty.

Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams. I really did think it was about the year 1969.
I kissed a Girl - Katy Perry
Macarena - Los Del Rio

I know there's more, but I can't think right now. A lot of songs people are saying they didn't get, I did, because I'm very much into lyrics and some are just so obvious. But I can also be a bit naive (see above songs).
