Hello hello! Happy Tuesday :coolcat:

Pardon the slight delay, yesterday ended up being a little hectic. All is settled though!

What are you scared of as an adult that you weren’t scared of as a child?

Something as simple as falling down. So many things I was able to get away with as a kid with tumbling and jumping, but now (Even as someone who is physically active and in their 30's) falling and hurting myself sounds so daunting lol

Also I found making friends as an adult can be tricky. While it wasn't the easiest as a kid either thanks to dealing with a lot of bullying, making new friends as an adult is a lot harder than it seems for a long variety of reasons.

The obvious one is the process of aging and all that that entails... as a child you think you're immortal.

I also don't swim in the ocean in such a carefree way as I did as a child... Too many stories of shark attacks will do that.

As a child, I was fearless. Now that I'm older (and wiser?), not so much. I wouldn't say "afraid", just a lot more cautious than I used to be.

Not exactly a child but as a student in college I used to hitchhike with my friends since we didn't have a car. Nowadays I wouldn't think twice about doing that, too many weirdos out there. 😬

I think things through more now. I never walk backwards anymore since my broken wrist, (raking) and i drive more cautiously. I used to burn off tires, race people, go 100mph, etc, when I was young and invincible. No more, now I know I could die!

In general, having an accident of any kind. As I kid I just did not think about anything happening no matter what I did and now I see all the dangers and consequences. So getting on a roof, jumping down from a height, riding a bicycle very fast, skateboarding, etc.

Also agree with deteriorating health - I'm disabled and chronically ill, and am worried of having to permanently use a wheelchair or have my mobility limited even more (it's already pretty bad as it is).

A recent fear is tires coming off semis. My brother-in-law's cousin's wife was killed when a semi lost a tire, flew over the median and crashed into the windshield killing two of the three people in the car. I was in Baltimore this morning, driving to the airport and a semi was smoking and it made me start freaking out about a tire flying off.
