But you miss the point, where one man says "Then I'm goin' alone" , where one man goes to the rescue in spite of the others, and saves the people from the fire. Also, afterward, he puts them up in his own house.
Yes, but only one honorable man of power/influence in the entire town, that's not good.

I guess
"Yes we can
Create a country better than
The one we have made of this land"
is optimistic but it was pretty hard-hitting social commentary.

As many of Harry Chapin's songs are, whether they're slamming emotionally distant fathers or small-town hypocrites.


I like Alice's Restaurant, that would be a fun movie.
