Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Which TV character did you start off liking but later realized/started to absolutely dislike them?

Molly from Mike and Molly. At the beginning she was so sweet, sensible, responsible, clever funny and strong, with more relatable faults - but in the later seasons for some reason they made her into a slapstick, irresponsible, selfish goof that doesn't work to improve, almost insufferable personality to be around with. I guess because of the actress' growing fame during this time they decided to change the character, but I definitely didn't enjoy it personally.

I also sort of liked Elaine and George from the early seasons of Seinfeld. Later on I seriously couldn't stand them for a variety of reasons

Hmmm, that's a good question and I know I've said lots of times how much my feelings of a tv character I used to like have changed but off the top of my head I can't think of one except maybe Robert on Everybody Loves Raymond. On second thought, Dr. Park on The Good Doctor. I was disappointed he put up with all the B.S. from Dr. Morgan Resnick and often didn't stand up for himself.

I thought I was the only one who found George annoying in Seinfeld. It wasn’t a favorite show anyway. (I loved his character in the version of Cinderella with Brandy.)

There was some Nickelodian type family sitcom where the kid was a secret super agent type thing. Aimed at like older elementary watchers I think. DH put it on with the kids and it was ok at first. But then the sister especially became super annoying and bratty. I feel like another kid on the show was treated like he was dumb too. Could have been another one. I tended to leave the room because they got on my nerves.

This is a super interesting question, because generally I go the opposite where characters I don't care for grow on me, so I'm going to have to ponder this one overnight.

I will say that the longer I've watched Survivor, the more annoying Jeff Probst has gotten!

Hawkeye in MASH. I saw it when it first aired, when I was a kid. Now, well, he makes everything about him, which gets tedious.

On the other hand, I'm as fond of Potter, BJ and Winchester as I ever was!

Ryan Seacrest....THIS....is an annoying host..... (My attempt at his usual introduction for American Idol)
I used to like him in the first couple seasons but then quickly got tired of him.

Meredith Grey on Grey's Anatomy. I still like her, but I don't like the harsh edge where she's rude to people. I hate when people are mean to others and talk down to them.

I agree about slapstick humor. I hate when they add that to movies! It ruins it for me. I prefer serious.

Andy from The Office. I liked his character early on, as he seemed to go from really irritating and annoying to more genuine. Then after breaking up with Erin, and the whole thing with Nellie, he just became really immature and mean. He was better in the last couple of episodes, but they really went off the rails with him for some reason.
