"The game's afoot"

Originally from Shakespeare's Henry V, but used repeatedly by Sherlock Holmes to the point where it is probably entirely associated with him to indicate that he was ready to meet the challenge, usually Professor Moriarty. All Holmes fans instantly recognize it.
