If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be?







I honestly can't help but think of Mozart; I totally just want to meet the guy face to face! He seemed like such a character. He even liked to imitate cats apparently! On top of that of course, he is one of my favourite classical composers.

On an extra side note, because Mozart (Or Meowzart har har) was such a little scamp, please enjoy the "Cat Duet" by yours truly:

My choice would be a little more recent- Jimi Hendrix. The guy was an amazing guitarist. It's too bad he killed himself with drugs.

I agree with Mozart. It would have been amazing to see what else he would have done with a longer life. One of my dogs was Papageno because he was, well, German and a vogelfanger. Sorry no dots over the "a". Everyone pronounced it Papa Gino like he was selling pizza which irritated me no end.

My husband saw Hendrix play at Woodstock. I would love to have seen him, although I would have hated the wall-to-wall people, the rain, the mud, and the lack of sanitary facilities! Fair weather hippie, that was me.

This is a tough question for me. I’m such a music lover of both classical music and music from the ‘60s and ‘70s. The compositions of Ralph Vaughan Williams are gorgeous. Dvořák. Debussy. Handel. Bach. And yes, Mozart.

Freddie Mercury was genius. I saw him with Queen in the early ‘80s. Totally different, but I liked Harry Chapin. Otis Redding. There are others, of course.

Jimi Hendrix is a good choice. But the one I would be most curious to see how he matured was Duane Allman. His guitar playing was so original.

I figured that was the case. I remembered that you were in Vietnam. I was actually a bit too young—early teens and not a rebel—and my husband, who didn't drink, smoke, do drugs, and prefers classical music, thought it was dirty and boring. He was about 19.

You took the words right out of my mouth! I heard Taxi on the car radio today and it brought back memories. I actually saw him at a fundraiser in a small church in Eugene, OR when I was visiting my sister.

Composers would be Verdi, (Rigoletto), and Mozart, (The Marriage of Figaro). I really miss the opera since it closed during the pandemic.
