How often do you go to the doctor? When was the last time you went?

I do my yearly physical and then if anything comes up throughout the year, I go in whenever that happens. The last time I saw a doctor was last Wednesday when I had an ultrasound. I'll be going to the doctor a lot more in the next year or so since I'm starting IVF this fall. I see my regular doctor tomorrow though to discuss some of my medications that I'll need to stop taking before I get pregnant.

Honestly...my animals (cats and a horse) go to doctors much more frequently than I do anymore, and I know that's not good. I have ( in the past) tried to do the yearly physical and blood test. I really should do another. Dental appointments? Yes, always. Chiropractor? Yes, unless I want to get stuck and can't get out of bed. But I haven't been good with other stuff....mammograms, gyno, colonoscopy....stuff....ever since the pandemic and all that I guess is when I got lazy on going.

Definitely if you intend to get pregnant make a plan to start going regularly and taper off anything not recommended. I need to get a blood test and thyroid test--and possibly hormones...perimenopause and all that stuff. Periods are becoming like semi-colons and commas...things are changing...

Um…yesterday. I go when I need to and not when I don’t. One of my friends will still take her kids to the pediatrician for viral stuff. I don’t rush us in if I’m confident its viral. I took DD a couple weeks ago because she woke up with her ear hurting and it turned out to be viral; but some stuff you don’t mess with.

The last time I saw a doctor was a couple of months ago when I had an eye exam and new glasses. Two years ago I had to go to the ER because of severe abdominal cramps, and I do mean severe. My last physical was something like 9 or 10 years ago- I'm not sure exactly.

I go every six months, at least a yearly is required by medicare to pay for things that come up. they can refuse to pay if you don't go in at least once a year. They also pay annually for a mammogram and a pap every three yeras. now bone and lung scans too, sigh...., getting older is no fun.......
Dentist every 6 months to keep up on things, I have thin enamel so cavities were bad despite brushing twice a day and flossing every night. Since i started my prescription toothpaste, much better!

Much more than I care to think about ( lung cancer patient).... The good news is my most recent appt was over 2 weeks ago and I'm taking a break until end of September( oncology) so I cancelled everyone else ( pulmonologist & other specialists) until after my next scan and 2 oncologists appt to review- I'm just sick of Dr appts ,2 and 3 per week can be daunting

I had a total knee replacement end of April so there was physical therapy 3xs a week on top of everything else so I'm giving myself a vacation away from all appts to enjoy my new knee and do whatever I want for a little while😀

I haven't been for years, last time I went the doctor got mad at me cause she doesn't like cats and she wanted me to give Tigger and Ebony away - literally her only reason was she doesn't like cats

I get reminder letters but have never gone back cause why would I go somewhere where the doctor wants me to get rid of family members literally based on her own likes and dislikes

Glad you got that knee replacement. PT is a lot of work, but soooo helpful. I am so sorry you got cancer. Way to many people get one cancer or another.

Every 6 months for chronic conditions. Routine tests as recommended. Dental every 6 months. Bone scans every 1-3 years depending on how I'm doing. At least now more can be done for severe asthma. Izzy and I both make sure we do our treatments. She gets treats I don't 🤔

I am not allergic to cats. Thank you God! So I don't have that conversation.

I went last month. I had an MRI appointment today but my back hurt so much that I could not walk upright. I was almost relieved when a rep from their office called to say the machine was down.

My reaction to pain is sickness, so now I am nauseous and wish I had gone to my family doctor today. I don't know if I posted this, but I went to an appointment at another facility last month and their machine had been down eight days. That one was at 0530. Nobody was there! It was quite a ways from my house.

What is it with me and MRI machines? I am breaking them from afar? What's really going on? Anyway, I got a blessing today. It was at a closer facility, but I don't think I could have made it to the end of my country road. And DH drives me.

He and I usually go together and that's usually every 3 months.Doc likes to keep up with his diabetes and my copd.Lately for him with all that's gone on so much more, but hopefully that will settle down.Last time I went was in April, and him too...bloodwork,A1C,etc,and I think our next appointment is towards the end of this month.
