The local TV station had a poll recently and the results were close to 50/50. Let's see how we do here. :)

Regarding the weather - If you were forced to choose would you prefer frigid and windy or hot and sticky?

I'll take frigid and windy.

Definitely pros and cons to both, with a dangerous side but also (hopefully) have access to relief and comfort through cooling down or getting warm. In any case:

Hot and Sticky. It is the wind that sealed the deal - I could handle the cold on it's own just fine but boy oh boy a cold nasty wind can be borderline painful, even if your just standing there.

Living where I do, and working the job I did, I've had plenty of experience with both. Given my druthers, I pick frigid and windy, as I can always put on more layers, but the neighbors might not appreciate the sight were the conditions reversed.

Frigid and Windy I have never dealt well with heat. If I had to be outside layering with clothing designed for frigid windy conditions make it possible, not comfortable, but possible. There isn't anything that can be done about the heat and humidity besides drinking a lot of fluids to stave off heat exhaustion or heat stroke.

Frigid and windy, but I have to qualify that high winds make me nervous after the 100 year wind storm of 2011. Also, I have never lived in really frigid weather as it can be in some places.

Hot and sticky is unbearable though, and depressing.

Having lived in both kinds of climate, I’d pick frigid and windy. I have lots of winter clothes and can layer myself up until I look like the Michelin tire man. There’s a limit to how many clothes I can (or am willing) to remove. And humid air makes breathing very uncomfortable. (Plus there are more creepy crawlies 🐛 🐜 🕷 🪲🦟🪳)

Hot and sticky - but too I am in an area right now that is cold and windy. Can you ask this again when it gets hot and sticky here?
I lived in the Mitten State for four years and hated the summers! I walked to work every day so that made it worse. Although, I remember walking to work one winter day and thinking I might just lie down in a snowbank and die before I got to my office.

Frigid and windy. I love the warmth and the sun, but when it feels like you're breathing through a straw because it's so humid out that is incredibly unpleasant.
It's absolutely freezing tonight, but the moon and stars are so bright it creates a glitter effect on the snow. You can kind of see it in the picture below.
