We have half an acre here. DH does the mowing and trimming. I do the gardens for the most part. He will help weed sometimes. I’d love to hire someone to do the mowing for him but DS helps now so that’s been good. I always hated mowing the lawn even on a riding mower. Garden care is much more enjoyable!

We have 3 acres....not quite half gets mowed by one of us,then there's a section for his bee yard and one for the garden,and finally the rest is pasture.The neighbor has horses,so we let her use that however she wants.

We have about 1/3 acre and most of it is hilly. When we were younger we did all the planting and weeding. We still do some of it but now have help for some of the crawling around on hillsides pulling weeds and pruning.

Planting drought tolerant plants in place of a lawn is very popular, and very smart to do, out here.

That's what we do. Lots of sage and other native drought tolerant plants, and we have artificial grass in the patio areas.

I own a Condominium Apartment. Both Front and Rear yards are quite small. I don't water the lawn do to the cost . I have two lawn care companies whom take care of the lawns needs. One for Fertilization and the other for Maintenance.

Wow that is very kind of you to let a neighbor to use your pasture

We have known them for many years...goes back to when she was a little girl and lived there with her folks and siblings.They are wonderful people,and do so much for us as friends and neighbors,you just can't imagine.So letting them use that pasture however they want to is the very least we can do.

That is really wonderful and how it should be. We have one neighbor that is great and we try to help each other it makes things a lot more pleasant.So many people would see your pasture as a money making opportunity. That is why I felt it is wonderful for you to do. These days it seems to be about me , myself , and I. Life works better when people are there for each other.
