Hi everyone :wave2:

Another Christmas question for you all ......

What’s your favourite Christmas movie ? You can pick more than one :santa:

My favourite has got to Elf. It’s the one movies at Christmas that I try and make time to watch every year

Scrooge 1951 with Alastair Sim. The special effects they could muster then are more atmospheric than the more modern versions IMO.

Edit: I regard a lot of the 50/60's films done in the UK, especially the black and white ones, to have a comforting feel to them and are very atmospheric as I said above.

Cartoons/Kids:

The Grinch who Stole Christmas
Rudolph the red Nosed Reindeer
Charlie Brown's Christmas
Frosty the Snowman
Mickey's A Christmas Carol (Disney's cartoon version)
He Man and She Ra's Christmas Special

Family and Classics

Miracle on 34th Street
Elf
Home Alone and Home Alone 2

I also enjoy "A Christmas Carol" but it may be "Scrooge" - I would have to watch it again to know what version I like for the movie, even though I enjoy the story line.

I don't think I've ever seen "It's a Wonderful Life", at least not in my adult years, considering so many of you enjoy it I think I'll make a point to watch it.

And I know there is some controversy on if this is a Christmas movie or not but I gotta watch Die Hard every Christmas!!!!

Yes it was George C. Scott. A number of years later there was another one with Patrick Stewart.

I really do love Christmas movies and shows; therefore, I had to come back and add some more.

Several versions of A Christmas Carol. While Simm's Scrooge is often ranked #1, I love Reginald Owen in the part. I am looking forward to the new one with Tom Hardy.
Elf
Jack Frost (the cartoon with Kubla Kraus)
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter's Tale
The Miracle at Morgan's Creek
Hey Arnold! Christmas Special
Bachelor Mother
The Man Who Invented Christmas
Most Doctor Who Christmas Specials, especially The Return of Doctor Mysterio, The Husbands of River Song, and The Time of The Doctor
Meet Me in St. Loius
Winnie the Poo and Christmas Too

Not exactly Christmas, but we watch them at Yule regardless
Doctor Who "The Empty Child"
Die Hard
Iron Man III
Cat People III
