Was it " Susie Walker".... I had one in I think around 1960,she was a big rigid 2 or 3ft( life-size) doll I disliked immensely - she was made to walk with the child holding it's hand but didn't work well and toppled over all the time

It could have been - I don't know if that brand was sold here, but my vague memory is that it was that type of doll. Don't know how large it was. I do remember it had awful hair, because at some point when she was little, my sister had decided that if its hair could be brushed and combed it could also be cut!

When I was 13 my sister (10 years older, and left home several years before) told me she was getting me a bikini for my birthday.. I was so excited and felt very grown up until it arrived and I found the type of thing you'd put on a 6 year old. It was a bit like this:

Bless your heart.... I had an out of touch Aunt ,in the 80s she looked like she was frozen in the 6Os and her " gifts" were probably from the 60s in the 80s ... she was still wearing those 1950s torpedo pointed bras like a sweater girl,30 yrs later- must've had to order them from Fredricks of Hollywood!lol

Her gifts were things you wouldn't be caught dead in and had to make believe you loved them because you knew she did & meant well..... 🫢
