Congratulations!  Another graduate!

I spent the afternoon under big ole oak trees and listening to live bands.  We had a great time.

Congrats Lara! What is your degree in? I think it was either animation or psychology?

I went to Walmart to get new kitchen stuffs, and looked at bookshelves in Ikea.

Went to Target for few items, cleaned cat boxes(husband helps cause I am pregnant as normally I do it day before trash pickup) and did few loads of wash. Nice calm day as Target was not crowded at all.

Congratulations, Lara!

Not much. Went out to mow grass and two tires on the tractor were flat and one was getting there. Tried to push-mow, but couldn't get the engine to turn over (neither could Rick) and no way was I throwing my back out, trying to get the thing started. Tried to do some weeding and the tire on the wheelbarrow was flat and I didn't feel like carrying cat litter buckets of weeds to the burning pile. Went back into the house, plopped down on the sofa and spent the afternoon reading Code of the Hills on my Nook.

Turns out the tires were like that last week, too, but Rick didn't want to deal with getting them off the tractor, so he'd mow a few sweeps then come back to the compressor and inflate the tires again. He did the whole yard like that! I'm simply not going there......those puppies are getting replaced.

Rick is taking the push mower in to work to give to a friend who works on mowers. I took the wheels off the lawn tractor and put them in the truck. Took the wheel off the wheelbarrow and threw that into the truck, too. He can drop them off at the garage on his way home from work tonight for new tires. Looks like the grass won't be getting mowed any time soon.

We didn't do much yesterday. We went out to breakfast and then to the mall to pick up a few things. In the afternoon, we played outside with Aimee and I went for a walk with my neighbour during Aimee's nap. Then we went to the in laws for Chinese food.

Just a thought:

Every single time this happens to me, I can guarantee that it's the carb.  This new gas with corn dissolves parts within the carb.  I had to switch to marine gas (no corn) to stop this.

Thanks, peaches, but my problem is even trying to pull the cord. It simply won't pull easily for me. I tried and tried, but it's really pulling hard. I should have been more specific.

No. The powers that be decided delebratingntm the rest of the world and changed it to family day. So what hspornd on family day? We all play monopoly?
My kids who eventually stopped celebrating mother's day in their teens deciding it was an unnecessary holiday now won't know how sweet it is when it doesn't have to be kitchi. Is that word used in America?
I think one mother's day I got from my son mark either the complete srt of Shakespeare or the complete set of Oscar wilde or the short Oxford dictionary. He was about 2 years old then. He must have thought very hard for those. I think he bought all of those for me as a child for mother's day or birthdays. Now I get a phone call! What will they do in August 70!!!!

Had a great Mother's Day. First thing was church. My son drove an hour and a half to bring his family, wife and little kids to church. I cooked our meal and brought it to church with me. After everyone cleared out, we warned the food and enjoyed ourselves in the Fellowship Hall of the church. They gave me a Target gift card. Daughter couldn't come but she sent me nice card in the mail and a Belk gift card. Now I have to go shopping. :lol3:
