Hi y'all,
I have a saying that if I really like something, they take it off the market. Does that ever happen to you, and if so, what would you like to see be brought back?
For me, it would be:
1. Pepsi with cane sugar (the throwback kind just isn't the same)
2. The Marathon candy bar (as much as this is addressed online, it seems anyone could bring it back and become rich)
3. These chocolate candy bars with creamy strawberry filling (I can't remember the name, but they were delicious)
4. Morton TV dinners
5. Lemon Freeze pops (they may still be around somewhere; these were sold at 7-11 and about three feet long)
6. The bacon chips that looked like bacon (think Beggin' Strips for dogs, but crispy and for people )
7. Jack's Christmas Cookies
8. Taco flavored Doritos (the kind from the 70s, so disappointed when they came back and the flavor had changed)
9. Pudding in a can (I can deal with the plastic cups, but it definitely tasted better in cans)
10. Chef Boyardee Spaghetti Kit with condensed sauce (the first kind)
11. Cap'n Crunch Punch Crunch cereal
12. Kumquats, which still exist, but nobody ever sells them around here
It seems like all I want is food, but there are other things, too, like really good diners (especially in stores), the Playdoh Fuzzy Pumper Barber Shop, and lash darkening mascara. Lash darkening mascara! And Shoney's Restaurants. Shoney's, if you're still out there somewhere, please come back to me! Come back to me.
