Hi Everyone! Happy Easter to those who celebrate.



So what is your idea of a perfect day? or evening out?
Tell us what it be, where you would go, if anywhere.
Who would you go with? What would you eat? What would you do?

I would go out for dinner with friends I haven't seen for long time.
We would go to a restaurant we all love that is on a lake and be seated
outside for a lovely view of the lake. We would be there a long time
because their food is amazing and we'd get appetizers, entrees, soup,
etc and dessert. Afterward we would come back to my house and have
a fire and tell ghost stories.

So, what would you do?​

A perfect day? Sitting around with my nose in a book(s). Molli is on my lap. There's an ice cold Pepsi and some peanut M & Ms on the stand. It really takes very little to make me happy. Just peace and quiet.

A perfect night? Rick gets the fire going in the back yard. I have everything we need for mountain pies and s'mores. And we just sit there. No need to talk. Watching the fire, watching the sky. Silence.

For me it would be a long walk on the beach with some friends followed by a snack outside overlooking the sea, watching the surfers and fishermen. Then home to spend the evening reading with a cat or three by my side and a glass of good wine in my hand.

It doesn't take much for me to consider a day as being perfect. Getting my hands dirty working in our garden is one way, and building something is another. A cabinet, a bookcase, or in the case of a recently completed project, window screens. It is a source of satisfaction at the end to stand back and say to myself "I built that".

I would go out to dinner at a diner, I love diner food because they have such a huge variety. Then I would watch Hulu or Netflix, and read a little before going to bed. And snuggle with my cats.

Order out for something like pizza or Chinese, stay in and do something like play cards. I am not much up for going out anymore.

A cat in my lap while I read outside (but since my cats are strictly indoors, this will never happen). I also would love to go for a really long hike in a really gorgeous place.

Get in my pajamas and watch horror movies with my cat and my best friend.

I'd get to sleep in and relax at home with my family and then go out to dinner. Or maybe just get some good takeout to enjoy at home. I might not leave my bed much.

Going horse riding. It wouldn't matter where or what the weather was like. I've had some amazing rides in strong wind at the beach, in snow in the forest or in rain on mountain trails. As long as there is some wide open space and a I have a willing horse, I'm happy.

After that I'd like to go to an onsen and soak my tired muscles in a hot bath.

Perfect Day. Rise early and have coffee. Get in the car and have a nice day trip with my husband with both cell phones turned off.
Perfect night out. I would have to think about that one for awhile.

for me, a perfect day is one in which i was productive, got things done. i focus on each day, on the things i'm doing that day. and when i've got things done, i enjoy the evening with my cats!

i'm primarily a homebody these days, and happy to be so.

Perfect day - no phone calls, sun and mild weather, eating outdoors and sipping espresso.
