Happy Weekend!

I recently read an article that said that people are giving up their top sheet on their bed. Instead, they're using a bottom sheet, then the blanket or comforter. I don't know, it just doesn't seem right to me, but that's probably because I'm older. My mom always used a sheet set and so do we.

Do you use a top sheet on your bed?

I never used a top sheet unless it was really hot out until the last few years. I use it now because the blankets I use over the top sheet don't always have the right texture, so my sensory issues get bad without something feeling right on me.

Before my time in the service; no, and those wool blankets could get awfully scratchy. I was introduced to the concept of a top sheet in boot camp, and have used one ever since.

Always a top sheet. In winter it is top sheet, flannel top sheet over that and then one or more layers of blankets depending on temp. I wash sheets once a week, blankets every couple. I wouldn’t want to have to wash a comforter once a week.

I know of people who use a bottom sheet and then a blanket or comforter, but I have always used a top sheet for most of the reasons already mentioned here.

Yes! But when I was a teenager I didn’t. I often slept with my feet out because they were hot so the top sheet always became untucked and tangled around my legs. It still does now; but having a bigger bed makes it less annoying. Plus washing king size blankets is a pain to impossible! Even my current machine can’t handle a set of king and twin sheets at the same time.

I grew up with a bottom fitted, top sheet and whatever blankets were needed. Currently using a bottom fitted, top sheet and a comforter.

I would never just use a blanket or quilt or bedspread. They're not really washable, unlike sheets, and as everyone has said, you can just use a sheet in hot weather.

I don't know what I sleep with. Sometimes a blanket, most frequently not. If I have a blanket, it tends to end up under me.

No, I just got rid of that stupid thing recently! Hate that twisty, hard to wash thing!!! Now I just use a bottom sheet, pillowcase & 2 blankets. I sleep under both blankets in winter. When it's hot, one blanket is under me & one blanket is over me. I throw the whole pile in the wash every two weeks.
