Happy Weekend!

What is your favorite bread? Do you like white bread, whole wheat, multi-grain?

We prefer multi-grain. But since I've been dealing with kidney issues, my nephologist prefers just plain old white bread. Bleah. We like Nature's Own Perfectly Crafted Multi-Grain.

What about you? I know some of you really like Dave's breads.

White bread for sandwhiches, a must for grilled cheese.(multi grain/whole wheat gets soggy) and rye for eating with cheese and on patty melts.

I like white bread. If I go out somewhere that has yeast rolls, that's what I like. If I go somewhere for dinner and they have stopped serving bread, I never go back to that restaurant. :paperbag:

I like Dave's 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Bread. It's the first store bought whole grain bread that I really like. I do really like a crusty white bread baguette but it has been a long time since I gave in and got one.

my nephologist prefers just plain old white bread. Bleah. We like Nature's Own Perfectly Crafted Multi-Grain.
At least one reason is probably the Potassium. I am doing the opposite trying to get more potassium in my diet to control blood pressure that is why I now have only the Dave's whole grain bread.

Forget all packaged store bought bread. Bread needs to have a decent crust. Good New York City bakery rye bread. It's been years . . .

The no-knead slow rise bread I bake is rather nice.

A good sourdough!

But for sandwiches and stuff I alternate between Daves Killer Bread White Done Right (thin sliced is perfect for an egg breakfast sandwich; which I have most days), rye, and Pepperidge Farms Oat bread. Sometimes you need a break from all the whole grains. Especially the ones with pieces of grains that don’t ever really digest.

SIL has GI issues and was told to stick to white bread. Apparently for her it’s better for her issues. Things like grilled cheese need to be white bread; but most stuff is more satisfying/satieating with whole grain. Burgers need like brioche or Hawaiian buns though! Yum!

Sourdough bread for me!! Or Italian Scali bread from the bakery! or Ciabatta Bread-- from bakery. Spoiled by living in an Italian bakery city!
I did try Dave's white bread, thin sliced.. Suprisingly, it was good...

I've never really met any bread that I didn't like...except for sourdough.Just not a fan.I make most of my own breads and we enjoy them all.Now Harry does like the 100% whole wheat we get at Aldis, and it's okay.I won't pay the prices the stores are asking for whole wheat flour, and rye flour too.I come up with my own recipes.

My favorite sandwich bread is Brownberry 12-Grain. My favorite type of bread that isn't specifically for sandwiches would be rosemary pugliese.
