Happy Weekend!

Where are you with your Christmas shopping? Almost done? Did you start yet?

Rick and I aren't doing much of anything as our present to us from us was our mattress. We just give the kids and the Grands money because that's what they all want. I still need to figure something out for my sister and BIL.

It seems strange not buying chocolates and such for Rick's mom. He mentioned that yesterday when we were talking about cookies and candy. We always put together a box of chocolates, candies, and cookies for her to snack on while she listened to her audio books.

Michele and I don't Christmas shop any more- at least not for each other. At this stage, we are downsizing, not getting more stuff. Besides which, we both have the means to get what we need ourselves. We just get each other cards, and leave it at that.

I’ve whittled it down to one family, and hip hooray, they like books and games and using home made or recycled wrapping paper! Cards, a bit harder, such a tradition, but it’s nice to get something in the mail that isn’t a bill.

I think I am done.We don't really do for ourselves,so if somebody needs or wants something,we just do it if we can.I always try and put together some gifts for Dennis and Christie, but they're getting harder to shop for as they don't really need a thing, like us.Makes it hard too as she has a birthday, then there's their anniversary. It's all good, though.

We haven't exchanged gifts with each other for a number of years as we really don't need or want anything. My nieces and nephews are adults with their own kids who pretty much have their own lives.

We all used to get together around Christmas time, hopefully they'll do it again this year.

My brother, sister, and I stopped giving gifts about 4 yrs ago. We still get them from mom and dad, tho, and gift them prezzies, also. Then of course, there's the pets. The pets ALWAYS get something :D. SO do I still have to buy gift(s)? Yes. My parents are getting a gift card from me :D.

Almost done. I need to do my sister's two boys, and a couple more stocking stuffers for my kids, but everything else is purchased and here.

Now wrapping? That's another story.

I always procrastinate so haven't done much shopping yet but like others have said we've drastically cut back. However, we do exchange pet gifts with one of our neighbors and close friends who have dogs or cats.

I am finished. I just buy for the grandkids and I get the 'kids' and their spouses Outback gift cards. They all like Outback so I get gift cards so they can have a free dinner.

It has become very pared down over the years as it is now all adults who don't need anything. What I do send has to go directly from the company as I refuse to stand in line at the post office after having lugged packages there.

Pondering what to get for a couple friends. Will get a Visa gift card for my sister. Him and I don't buy for each other. Nobody really to buy for anymore, they are all gone, or estranged.
