I'm sorry, I lost track of time yesterday.

What music did you listen to when you were younger? Do you still listen to that type of music now or have your tastes changed at all?

When I first met Rick, I listened to (I guess it was called) bubble gum music. Like Tommy Roe, Ohio Express, etc. As I got older, I started listening to Santana, Hendrix, and what we consider as classic rock today. I still listen to classic rock: Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Santana, Montrose, and similar bands. I rarely listen to the radio in the car, but when I do, it's usually Classic Vinyl or Classic Rewind, sometimes Ozzy's Boneyard. Most of the time, I use my iPod.

Mixture. I've loved early music - twelfth through to seventeenth, with some eighteenth century - since my early teens. Listened to that and sixties-seventies music then and ever since, adding Celtic and some eighties stuff along the way. I hardly listen to music at home at all now, haven't for years. I still have all my CDs, just don't have any desire to listen to music now.

I tend to gravitate towards the classic rock. My favorites are where there is exceptional talent like Jimi Hendrix on the guitar and Freddie Mercury's vocals.

I have always loved Motown, e.g. The Temptations, Four Tops, Spinners, Stylistics, Supremes, etc. It made me want to get up and dance. I still enjoy it today but have branched out to classical music as well.

I love Rock N Roll! Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Ozzie, Guns and Roses, Queen (another one bites the dust), AC/DC (big favorite) and Eagles!

I grew up on Bill Haley and the Comets, Fats Domino, Elvis Presley, Chubby Checker, Buddy Holly, and Richie Valens, so have always favored that kind of music. Later groups like the Moody Blues, the Byrds, the Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Mamas and the Papas, and Jefferson Airplane were my go-to. Disco, however, killed it for me; that, and country music.

Primarily CCM but style wise it always varied. Today is similar but a little broader. I never liked the traditional country music (with the exception of a few hymns.) I got into some more modern country music at one job but I’m not currently listening to that unless its a favorite on my playlist. My favorite list on apple music has everything from rap to rock to gospel to country to worship. No metal though. I can appreciate almost anything; but not that one.

I listened to a lot of country as a kid, was a huge fan of George Strait. I am still a big fan of George Strait and actually saw him in concert in May, something I've wanted to do for almost 30 years. I don't like the country that is played nowadays though. It's too pop-ish and not like real country. In my teen years, I started getting into Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble which introduced me to older music (or older sounding music). In my Spotify end-of-the-year recap for 2023, it said my top genre was musicals and Broadway music and I wasn't into musicals until my 20s.

To be honest I never had a specific genre of music that I listened to. I sort of had a mess of all sorts of music that I would play. I still do, honestly. I think it's cause I grew up in a house full of people who all listened to different things, lol.

I agree with you on country. My favorite country songs were made pre-2015ish, with some of the best ones IMO being from the 90s. I can't stomach the new stuff. It's either too pop-ish or just whiney sounding to me. And our country station tends to play the same 5 songs over and over and over....

A mix of things - Alternative or Punk Rock, some pop/techno, and discovered my love for Symphonic Metal! Something that I still enjoy listening to this day.

Everything from 50's, 60's,70's. Folk Rock and Jazz. But love some later music and alternative as well.
