It would be the old disco music like Stayin Alive. Disco was the big thing when I was in my twenties. My ex knew all of the old ball room dances which was what many of the dances done at discos were. There were flourishes added and of course the beat was very different but they were based on the old ballroom dances. That was how I learned to dance.
Cat Scratch Fever by Ted Nugent, Hot Stuff by Donna Summer, Slow Ride by Foghat. really anything with a good strong beat I can play loud enough to feel in my chest.

Aww, in honor of Irene Cara I’ll pick “What a Feelin,” but actually anything from Follow the Fleet or Flying Down to Rio w/ Fred & Ginger is great. I’ve been learning Sam Cooke’s “Twisting the Night Away “ on the uke (I dare you not to twist), “Dancin‘ in the Streets.” with the Vandellas, “Neat Neat Neat” by the Damned…and man, there’s a lot of GREAT stuff out of South Africa.
